Friends! Welcome to the Epicenter of
St. Lawrence Hockey Enthusiasm!
The very fact you’re here says you’re already a
friend of Saints Hockey. You’re aware of the proud
heritage behind the Men’s and Women’s teams. Perhaps
you’re close by, and regularly attend home games at
Appleton. Or maybe you’re not so close, and follow
the teams via radio, internet, and other media. It
really doesn’t matter if your enthusiasm is there!
But have you ever wished to
be more “part of the action” than merely applauding
goals, or saying “Great!” after each win?
It really doesn’t matter if you’re in Canton, New
York or Canton, China, or anywhere else on the
globe. FRIENDS OF ST. LAWRENCE HOCKEY enables
members to express their support in tangible ways.
Those who live nearby can find “hands-on”
satisfaction by pitching in with fund-raising, or by
arranging post-game receptions and other events for
teams and their fans; those who live further away
can feel involved knowing their dues make many
FRIENDS’ team-benefit initiatives possible. In any
case, as members you’ll feel much more part of the
Saints’ success!
We are always in need of volunteer help. if
you would like to "pitch in" at a 50-50 raffle
ticket sale, a post-game party or important
activities, please call Darlene Leonard at (315)
229-5956 or email at:
dleonard@stlawu.edu
You will be warmly welcomed!
So explore our website, learn about Saints Hockey,
and learn about us.
And finally, learn how friends become FRIENDS!

St. Lawrence University's
Vanessa Emond (14) lifts the stick of the
RPI puck carrier Allison Wright (86) to
knock the puck away. The Saints season
would come to an end after forcing Clarkson
to a game three on Sunday but would fall by
a score of 4-1 ending the season with a

"FRIENDS" REVVED UP FOR 2009-'10 SEASON! |
|
It’s hard to believe, but hockey is in the
air again and the 2009-2010 campaign is not
far away! Appleton Arena is
already alive with the sound of steel blades
on ice, and pucks banging off boards!
And the Saints are marching in again!
The FRIENDS OF ST.
LAWRENCE HOCKEY are getting into the swing,
too. Our “season” kicked off with the annual
Golf Outing at St. Lawrence Golf & Country
Club in Canton.
And there’s more. Your
FRIENDS board is busy planning post-game
get-togethers for teams, parents, and the
public. Dates, times and places for these
and other events will be posted when they’re
arranged. Also, don’t forget that the
FRIENDS sales booth at Appleton will be
featuring many colorful clothing and
souvenir items during the season, and will
be open for business during home games.
We exist for the good of
Saints Hockey. Joining us as members,
attending our events, and supporting our
fund-raising efforts contributes directly to
the success of our men’s and women’s teams.
We need, and will warmly appreciate, your
membership and patronage.
